Common Vastu Corrections

Every space is different, and a proper reading needs your actual floor plan — but these are some of the most frequently recommended corrections in Vastu practice:

• Main entrance: North, East, or North-East facing entrances are considered most favourable; if yours faces another direction, a threshold remedy (like a small brass item or specific-colour door) is often suggested rather than relocating the door
• Kitchen placement: South-East (the fire/Agni corner) is traditionally preferred; if your kitchen sits elsewhere, corrections often focus on the direction you face while cooking
• Master bedroom: South-West is generally favoured for stability; mirror placement facing the bed is usually advised against
• Pooja / prayer space: North-East is considered ideal for a small temple or prayer corner, kept clutter-free
• Water elements: Overhead water tanks are traditionally placed South-West; underground tanks or borewells in North-East
• Colour guidance: Specific wall colours in particular rooms are sometimes recommended to balance an afflicted direction
• Clutter and heavy furniture: South-West is generally kept heavier/more solid, North-East lighter and more open
